Waiting to bloom…
Hollyhocks come in many different colours, and the buds towering above the wilderness in my garden are showing no clue as to which colour they will be. Like a child waiting waiting to unwrap a present, I’ll just have to wait and see!
The unknown can be tricky for those who have not had control over big decisions in their lives. Feelings of excitement and anticipation can quickly flip to panic for those who have experience of trauma, which is why in Growing Me Time there is a familiar structure to each of the 10 sessions.
There is a new and exciting animation and making activity to unwrap each time, but these are sandwiched between familiar beginnings and endings, with the whole session narrated by the soothing voice of Ellie, Growing Me’s Therapist.
